paults Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 I have a 1980 Standard, sunburst, with original case. Its been played, and an LP-style Kahler was installed long before I got it. The bridge humbucker has a Hamer logo on it, so that pickup may be from later in that decade. I have a vintage cream/cream Dimarzio that I will include with the guitar, and a non-original stop tailpiece and bridge that I got with it will also be included, in case you want to take the Kahler off. I can send plenty of pictures to seriously interested parties. Since the value of everything is depressed at the moment, I'm not thinking in terms of selling it outright, but thought one of us might have some Marshall Jubilee stuff that isn't being used. You bought it when they were cheap, and can get something much harder to find. So, if you have a Siver tolex Jubilee head, lets talk. Maybe a 2554 combo, too. The head plus cash, or plus silver 2-12 or 4-12 cabs, or plus some other vintage Marshall amp, or pre-1990s guitar(s).I might do a cash only deal, but I'd want whatever the going rate turns out to be a Jub stack. For those who don't know me, I can provide HFC references from the highest level : )
cmatthes Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 I remember passing over Jub heads and cabs selling for less than regular 800-series stuff in local used shops. That's a bit painful today!
bruce919 Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 damn I wish I still had one. I have had (2) 2x12 combos, (2) Black 88 heads the 2553 head was the best Jubilee I have ever played. Bought it for an HFC approved price of $350 & one silver half stack that I sold about 10 years ago for 1K. I still have a Silver Jubilee Mico-stack I will trade u for the Standard. LOL.
