Abaco Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 Anybody here use the WCR Pickups? I've been toying with the idea of sticking a couple in one of my Studios - probably the Darkburst. But, that's just me being a gear tweak.
jisham Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 Do a search...there have been several threads recently about them. But in a nutshell: they kick ass.
GuitarDoyle Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Sometimes I wonder if the extra cost is worth it for the higher priced, lesser known pickups such as Rios and WCRs but there is a certain depth to the pickups made by these guys.I have been in love with the Rio grande BBQ recently but a buddy let me borrow his Fillmore bridge and I am very impressed. Check my review post!
hamerican gigolo Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 I have a set of Darkbursts in a 95 Studio.Very impressive.
seeker Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 I have a set of Darkbursts in my Nu Blu Studio. They do kick asss.Look into Wolfetone Pickups, I've got a set in a Heritage. They're equally as good (and better in some ways).
gwayne Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 I have a set of Crossroads in my Elite. They're great for Kossoff, Betts, Haynes tones. Jim is great to work with. I would suggest giving him a call - he'll guide you in the right direction based on your needs. And he'll do double-cream:
