What kind of tone do you get from "Mohogany?"

You would think someone with a music store could spell mahogany!

MoHOGony is great for pinched harmonics gives a great squealing PIG impression.

Sounds a bit high for an 82' I'd pay around $1500 for it just because I dont have an 82 in my line up. The older 70's models seem to bring more $$

I bought a clean unmolested 79 off ebay a few weeks back for $1350.00

I hope he gets what he wants for it though.

I know people seem to go for the Seventies Sunbursts over the early Eighties ones, and for good reason. But I have to say, of all the Sunbursts I've played, the 1982 examples have been the nicest I have held. Great necks, well constructed, and they have the deeper cut out on the lower horn that makes grabbing a couple of extra frets up high a breeze. Of course I am biased, I own an '82.

That being said, the price is a little high on this particular guitar.

The 81 that I had was a stellar guitar. It sounded better than my 79 but I didn't like the neck shape. Personal Preference but they are all great guitars.
