ArnieZ Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Found more ef86's I forgot I had. These were purchased as NOS, tested new and appear to have little use. Glass is dark around the top possibly from testing, but can't be positive. So I'll call them ANOS. Date codes are late 50's with the crossed square getters. Asking $55 for the pair, tubes in the pictures are the actual tubes. I tested them in my Z28 head they sound great and were not microphonic, Don't have a combo to test them in! ArnieZ
yngwie308 Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Awesome valves, the EF86 is my favorite pre-amp valve also the secret to the old Matamp Reverb unit (pre-Orange) used by a certain P.Green in the Fleetwood Mac days... The EF86 channel in my AC-15 TV cabinet combo (real one) was the most awesome I have ever heard when I plugged my 1954 LP Junior in!! yngwie308
