jujisque Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 I'm preparing to replace the JB in my Phantom Custom. I'm sure that I could just straight follow what's already in there with the new humbucker, but I'd like to have some more knowledge before I do it. If anyone could give me a link to a site that has a simple explanation of rotary switches (pictures a must), or any knowledge you'd like to share with me, then please fill me in.

If you're replacing the pickup with a different make, Stewmac has diagrams that show the color schemes for several manufacturers.
earachemyeye Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 I put a Duncan 59 in mine. I thought the JB was wired to split but not so. Took one look at that rotary and decided to wire it the same as the JB, works fine and sounds much better. The biggest challenge was grounding the new wires to the pot without melting something.Joe
