mathman Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I have a 83 model Fender Bullit Deluxe bass that I bought new and have played quite a lot over the years. The bridge needs help and I would like to replace it. Any advice on what to get? ideas? Any thing extra laying around you would let go cheap? This is what it looks like now. Pretty bad, I know. Help!
mathman Posted April 17, 2009 Author Posted April 17, 2009 Ok, there's lots of them on ebay. Don't know why I didn't think to look there. Anyone heard of WILKINSON-BASS-BRIDGE? or is there a better bridge rather than a replacement of the same type? How about this?
unfun75 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Wilky makes the trem bridges found on many a Daytona. Your #2 photo is not gonna work. Here's what I recommend plus it is a direct replacement: Gotoh 201 bridgeI put one on my MIM Deluxe Jazz. Very good bridge for the money. The bridge has extra mass for more sustain, it is more adjustable, the saddles won't drift from side-to-side, and it's a direct replacement. Warmoth had the best price on these when I bought mine. I ordered some Straplocks at the same time as they had a really good price on 'em, too.
