David B Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Ok here's an interesting one. It's an early 80's Prototype that has been refinished in Hamer's Ice Pearl finish at some point. It looks to me as if Hamer did the refin except for the fact that the serial # is wrong. It reads 9 4998. Protos didn't come out until 1981. Hamer still could have done it because I had 3 guitars refinished by Hamer in the early 90s & they didn't put the # back on any on them. Anyway, the finish is of Hamer quality. Whether they did it or not, I don't know. There are few dings here & there, but looks GREAT overall. Plays great & sounds great. SOLD PENDING PAYMENT Comes with a non-Hamer hardshell case.
