Hamerica Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Here is the deal and just for clarification. 1. I am posting this for a good friend of mine who is going through a messy divorce. ( I have been there.) He has no computer. In fact, she took just about everything he had. 2. I don't have pics of this guitar yet. I am supposed to have the pics shortly but I can tell you I was present when he took the pics and the guitar is as described. 3. I will answer all emails as fast as I can so I can help this guy out. I have never owned any Fender Strats so I won't be much help here. 4. If you are interested email at bdball@prodigy.net or pm here but please let me know as the pm doesn't always let someone know there is a message. OK with that out of the way here we go - 2007 Fender® 1957 Stratocaster® Commemorative Mary Kaye Reissue $1,500 One of Fenders most treasured editions. Nicely grained Alder body in trans white (also some described as “See Thru” Blonde) finish with gold hardware. These guitars were not Custom Shop pieces but special limited edition runs from regular production. What makes this one different from the rest of those being sold else where is that this one is in NOS unplayed condition. There is nothing better than cracking open cases and in this case a Tweed Fender hard shell case, and finding a nice guitar. The guitar case has been opened twice. Once to photograph for insurance purposes and the second time to take pictures for this sale. It doesn't get any better than this. Guitar will be shipped in original shipping box from Fender. This guitar was never hanging on a wall, the box was factory sealed shipped from Fender to Guitar Center to me. All of the guitar case candy is still sealed in the factory plastic container. BrianM Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 I got to see and hold this guitar. It is exactly as described, mint and unplayed (I didn't play it either). It is very lightweight, and the neck shape is perfect.BrianM
cmatthes Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 That is a very good price for one of those. I've played a few of that run, and they are really nice Strats. That price is pretty much what the new AVRIs sell for through MF and GC.
Hamerica Posted June 1, 2009 Author Posted June 1, 2009 Bumpage for a price drop. $1,400 plus fees. Thanks,Hamerica
davidd Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Just Beautiful! Sorry about the circumstances (divorce) but good luck with the sale.
Hamerica Posted June 29, 2009 Author Posted June 29, 2009 No Love for Fenders?I know there are a lot of guitars for sale right now and there are some great deals. This Mary Kay is still for sale and a final price drop bumpage for $1,300 plus fees. If it doesn't sale at this price he is going to sell something non musical. Thanks,Hamerica
Hamerica Posted July 24, 2009 Author Posted July 24, 2009 I can't believe this thing is still available.... Folks, this is as near mint as you can get. Never played, never registered, and it is still in the shipping box. $1,300 plus shipping and pay pal is ok if you pay the fees. I asked if he will drop it lower and he said no way. There are used ones that have sold for more money. If you know someone who was looking for a Mary Kaye, then this is the ONE! Thanks for looking. Last time for me to post it. Hamerica
