MCChris Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 It's the amp I swore I'd never sell, but I hardly ever play it since I got my Valvetech 50, so it's "never say never" time. It's SN 007, but it's had all the updates done to it (i.e. having a midrange knob installed), most recently in December '08, so it barely resembles that original version at all (in fact, I put the chassis into the blonde head box you see, which originally housed the VAC50). Has NOS Brimar big-bottle 6V6s installed with plenty of life left in 'em. Effects loop, no reverb. Includes boost footswitch and additional front panel with logo (blonde with gold piping). Functions flawlessly; excellent condition cosmetically (few if any dings to the head box or faceplate; tolex is peeling away a bit off the rear of the back panel, which tends to happen with these). Read more about these amps at www.valvetechamps.com $700 shipped to U.S. destinations only; no international shipping. No Paypal; postal money order or personal check OK (amp ships after funds clear my bank). Also willing to meet halfway (approx. 150 miles). Pic below (can provide more if necessary; this amp has black knobs instead of the cream ones pictured):
harryjmic Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 I remember your el34 Valvetech...that was real nice. Good luck.

Scottcrud Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 How much gain do those Valvetech 50's have? As much as a BoogieMKIII? Or a JCM 800?
MCChris Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 How much gain do those Valvetech 50's have? As much as a BoogieMKIII? Or a JCM 800?Somewhere in between I'd say, closer to MKIII levels.Keep in mind, though, that the head for sale is the 25-watt 6V6 version. Same gain levels, just not the 50-watt EL34 version.
belgian Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Why so cheap ?These are worth at least twice that money in Europe.
MCChris Posted October 8, 2009 Author Posted October 8, 2009 Why so cheap ?These are worth at least twice that money in Europe.Apparently it ain't cheap enough. No one's bought it yet!Edit: if you can find someone over there willing to pay twice my asking price (or close to it), I think I could get some advice from BadgerDave on how to ship it to Europe and take that plunge.
gtone Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 If you don't mind me asking - what do you have against selling internationally?
MCChris Posted October 9, 2009 Author Posted October 9, 2009 Sold pending payment to an esteemed HFCer. Thanks for looking!
gtone Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 Glad it was an esteemed HFCer and not an unkempt KFCer
