Sam Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Before this thread dies, I thought I'd share a mock-up that I did some months back. Badass... edit: Here's the original
Guest pirateflynn Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 I thought I would miss the f holes? That looks sweet.
edgar_allan_poe Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Here is the X-ray of my Monaco Elite, it clearly shows the unique chambering of the guitar.
landon w Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I think that a chambered Studio would get you most of the way there. Then, by that logic couldn't you say that an Artist will get you most of the way to a Newport...? I THINK the order would be: Solid Studio Artist Chambered Studio Newport My reasoning is that I believe that there is more 'fluting' (lol) in a chambered Studio than there is an Artist. A Newport, as originally designed, is much more hollow but if sealed up should get closer to a chambered Studio. Just an opinion. The solid Studios and the Artist that I owned were not THAT different. Im plus one-ing this one. (X10) I have a studio and an artist both with JB ( and 59 (n) and except for the difference in tone from the different neck profiles, they sound identical. I dont get any hollow tones out of my artist AT ALL. Tone comes from my amp settings, and as a matter of fact, i can get a hollower sound from my Mirage than the artist. probably the singles. I must admit though, that i have never played an artist with any other pup config. Might make a really big difference
