I just bought it and it's not me. I can't seem to bond with it. Think loud, articulate Hiwatt/Marshall tone. Can get really loud if needed. (You can use the loop as a Master which helps) It's also a nice size, not too heavy. 2 channels - Clean and Drive. Tons of gain on tap for just about any type of music. Clean is awesome and when cranked, gets an awesome SRV tone. The Drive channel starts there and gets even more crazy. Works perfectly - No issues. 2 Channels plus Boost on each channel. 2 inputs (high/low) Lots of tone shaping controls on each channel (Edge, EQ shift) Bass, Middle & Treble on each channel. Footswitchable Reverb can be selected to either channel or dedicated to a single channel. Footswitchable EFX Loop with Series/Parallel and level control. EFX loop can be switched out of the signal path for even cleaner tone. EFX loop can also be used as a Master volume when set to Series and adjusted by the loop volume control. Loop also has high/low level control for use with rack EFX or stomp-boxes. Has Class A & Class A/B modes for different power, tone and feel. 4 button footswitch has Channel, Boost, EFX, and Reverb. Has long cable to amp too. The amp is in superb condition with only a few small dings, no tears or rips, just a few tiny marks here and there. The footswitch does have some marks and missing a little paint from use. All functions, buttons and lights work perfectly on both amp and footswitch. These are killer combos and have gotten rave reviews. And their getting really hard-to-find!! More pics here. I just paid $900 for it, so I need $900. unfun75 Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Those are great amps. You can do metal with it, no prob. Fryette/VHT amps have the best FX loop of any I've tried. You can get a new "Fryette" nameplate, t-shirt, and sticker for 20 bucks. Check out sfdamp.com for the details. Good luck with your sale.
velorush Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 MOBW, I should have asked for a complete inventory list before I latched on to that last amp I bought off ya, cause I'd loved to have tried out the PB! Those get great reviews. Alas, the guitar fund is now out of cash...
santellavision Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 I didn't have the PB then. I recently got it. Now, I'm totally confused at what to look for. I may just stick with my current two amp setup (Fender Pro & Hoagland) instead of a combo switcher. Just wanted to downsize. I guess, I'm just spoiled, the Hoagland sounds so freakin' good, nothing has come close to it's magic. Any Bruno owners out there?
