wyldbil Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 Was wearing my 1st generation HFC shirt at work last night, and a customer bowled me over with "Hey! What's your HFC name?" Really nice guy. He said he hadn't posted in awhile since he let go of his collection of T-51s and Daytonas. His handle was a three letter word (Abe, maybe? DAMN I am getting senile...) One of you will do the math and figure out who I am talking about. Our chat was cut short since we were a bit busy, but I was glad to get to speak to this fellow.Anyway, that was really cool. You really do meet the nicest people through the HFC.
hardheartedbill Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 I think I remember that guy, all bolt ons right? I think it was Abe
hudpucker Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 There's a guy down the block who occasionally wears his black 'Hamer' T-shirt while walking his two big dogs. I've been meaning to strike up a conversation but I'm usually just catching sight of him from afar. Does this sound like YOU?
serial Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 I wear mine while walking my English Staff Bull and my inlaws' Staff Bull, but that's when I'm in NJ...
silentman Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 I ran into a fellow HFC'r in a McDonalds in NH while sporting an HFC shirt up in NH on Vacation a few years ago. I think it was DaveL.

bobsessed Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 I was approached by a 15 year old "rocker" (huge shorts, black fingernails) who said, "yeah, I heard o' them hammers...they're purty good". I could not even reply.

tgoss Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 Don't you just love it when people say "oh yeah, hammer's are good guitars" and you have to say no, it's HAMER!
BCR Greg Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 When Kristin and I were on our honeymoon in Maine several years ago, I stopped at a Barnes & Noble to get the current issue of Vintage Guitar mag(cuz I HAVE TO or I'd DIE). While standing in line, a guy started talking to me about Hamers(I had a Hamer shirt on) and proceeded to recognise me and congadulate Kristin and I on our wedding. He knew a lot about me. I cannot remember his name, he lurked but didn't own a Hamer yet.If you are out there, HOW YA DOIN?
