HSB0531
My band tunes down half a step. Low E string to D#, A string to G# etc.I've been using heavy gauge strings .050 - .110 on my 4-string basses with no problems. My concern is that Hamer 12 string basses use lighter gauge strings (.045/.020 - .100/.045).Can I tune half a step lower without any problems like fret buzz, or having to adjust the trussrod a great deal? Thundernotes
I think you'd likely have to adjust the truss rod(s) a bit.
BCR Greg
Loosen the truss rods 1/4 turn.
