Hamer Special "In this photo of the upper horn of a 93 Special FM (upper) and 82 Special, you can clearly see the thin top on the earlier guitar when compared to the 93 Special FM." My 1981 and 1982 Specials are both 4.7cm thick. Maybe someone who has one of the later Specials can get a measurement of theirs? I would put the thickness of the FM Specials right at 5.7cm. I should have used my metal ruler instead of my tape measure! lol!
