serial Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 That's an awesome stable there! And YES, we should definitely see pics. Good to see ya over here Nick.
Bob P Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 Serial knows this story.......Back in about 1990 I was going to NIU in DeKalb Illinois. Larry Henrickson at Ax in Hand had a 4 digit Standard with Bartolini pickups in it that I could have picked up for about $1000 (asking price was $1200). IT WAS SERIAL NUMBER 0050!!!Being a poor college kid I thought that was a lot of money for a used guitar so I passed. That one has haunted me ever since. I've tried several times to locate it but never had any luck. Anyone with any information on it please let me knowI wonder if I could put its photo on a milk carton with a reward????
edgar_allan_poe Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 I wonder if I could put its photo on a milk carton with a reward???? Be careful...the last time I tried the milk carton trick, I was deluged by a bunch of offended HFCers and one of them wound up running away to Canada.
tgoss Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 A dealer up the road from me had a new Eclipse in that green color that he was letting go cheap years ago.I join you all in a collective kick of the arse.
darc Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 "P.S. Darc, I can tell you from first hand experience, the Zaza went for more than $1200"No kidding? Did you come up against other bidders on that one? I could have sworn he posted that price flat out. But that was a long time ago. Anyway, I'll assume it cost you $6K just to set my mind at ease LOL.
Mike_C Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 I miss my metalic purple cali 044 of a run of 50. Reverse headstock and boomers a great sounding and playing guitar. of course the is the shocking pink Blitz with a floyd for 4 bill at a Sam Ash that was there for months but was gone when I finally decided it should come home with me and then there was a Japanese battle flag graphic special that went for 250ish when I was without cash at the time. and the onethat pains me the most a mint blue Blitz bass for 150 bucks that was gone in the time it took me to go and get cash from the bank.
