Lockbody Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 I love the Tele I just bought, but dislike the pickups. I'm just putting out some feelers before ordering some elsewhere. As good as Fralins and Lollars and the like are, I simply can't afford them.I'm open to pretty much anything for the bridge, true single or a singlecoil-sized HB. I do tend to like my bridge pups a little hotter (I really liked the 10.5k A3 Toneriders that were in the Squier Classic Vibe Tele I owned for a little while, for instance.).I'd love to score a mini-humbucker for the neck position, but any low-output, covered humbucker would be considered as well. The one in there is pretty dark and muddy, so anything that could get me away from that would get my attention. Four conductor a must so I can split it with the stock wiring. Thanks!

analogsystem Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 I've got a great mini humbucker that I have no need for. It was custom made by vintage vibe pickups. It has 12 alnico pole pieces so its got much better clarity than a normal bar-magnet mini-hb. Probably not quite as bright as a firebird mini though, closer to a normal mini. works with or without the ring, so you've got mounting options
