The spacing is good. I think the posts will work if they are metric....I used Tonepros posts with mine

Is the spacing on the Hamer metric?

It's odd, but my Standards, well the ones I've checked, have imperial bridges, but metric tail pieces.

I decided to give it a try since it was so inexpensive. I will post a follow to let you guys know how it works out once I receive and install it.

1. the set screws that move the bridge in and out for intonation adjustments were either the wrong size or the metal was too soft. When I tried to adjust the string length (with loose strings) the threads started popping.

2. the bass side shelf was so far forward that in order to get the correct intonation adjustment the bass side of the bridge would barely be on the post.

2. They sent me 2 of the same size allen wrenches, instead of one for the overall intonation and one for the g/b string intonation.

Last night I was pretty annoyed, today I'm over it.

I thought they were decent bridges myself. I didn't have any issues like you're talking about, except for the one concerning the bridge/post relationship....I would rather have it further up on the post myself, but with locking posts it's really pretty much moot. I'm sorry your experience with it was a bad one.

I went through most of the compensated wrap-tail options and found perfection in the Faber unit pictured below. These sell for about $70.00. If you look closely you can see that material is removed from the front to vary the string length.
