Ground loop issue with new Monaco pockups

On my Monaco Elite Mahogany I have changed pups several times but now I have a ground loop issue apparently. I put in a killer sounding set of Bill Lawrence l90s but with my hands off the guitar I get a grounding buzz. Touch the strings or any hardware and all is quiet.

5 conductor leads with 2 grounds on each, a pair twisted together and taped, ANC one hot wire. All grounds are soldered well and have been reflowed. The 3 pots are all tied together in a loop back to the jack ground. All grounds are on back of pots and the braid from the toggle switch is soldered to the neck vol pot along with the bridge ground. I have continuity between every pot, ground, ground wire and the jack ground.

Could it be the pups themselves? BLs are known to be very quiet.

What else am I missing?

Thanks for any help.

Mark

When you say "The 3 pots are all tied together in a loop back to the jack ground", is there only one path to the jack? I had a LP type that had two paths back to the jack, when I removed one my grounding issues where solved.

That said I'm no expert, sure other established advisors here will chime in.

Yeah, the three pots on my Hamers are all tied together to ensure there is only one path back to the jack ground. No problem with previous pickups either....it's not horrible and is nonexistent when playing of course. The ground coming from the toggle switch is just a braid, correct? This is my only LP type.

I'm having the same problem with a Monaco SuperPro, with (what I believe to be) stock pick-ups. Any tips for resolving it?

Also, I've never messed with the electronics of any guitar other than a Tele or Strat. Any tips for a novice dealing with a Monaco's electronics?

I never did solve that particular issue and traded the guitar for a Rick 360.....too good of a deal not to take.

That was one of resolving the issue. I think I'm going to dive in, this weekend, and see if I can't really screw it up! I won't be satisfied until I somehow manage to electrocute myself.

Lol be careful and try to isolate the buzz.....
