Blitz to T-bird conversion

This is a semi-serious question, inspired by G Man's query about using a Gibson Explorer pickguard on a Blitz...just curious, has anybody here ever altered a Blitz (either guitar or bass) to a Thunderbird shape, or seen one done well enough to play and keep, without the instrument looking totally like ass? Ebay has plenty of abused instruments that have had cutaways hacked away and bodies rounded to nearly nothing, and I know this is a individual IMO type of thing, but still...

If you got a TOTAL basket case Blitz bass, I guess you could have the body "wings" cut off and have FB-style wings glued on, but for the time, effort and cost, you'd be able to just get a Thunderbird bass.
