dgstandard Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 1985 Japanese Fender Telecaster Popped up for sale locally. Little wear, no breaks, original owner. My buddy is interested in it. $485 CDN
Bobby Marshall Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Buy it immediately. I have two Jerry Donahue "jd" telecasters made in japan that are killer. Also have three mij strats from 84-85. An 84 strat was my first strat and I spent alot of time on that one so I could be biased. And the burst on that one looks cool too. Tortoise guard. Man oh man that is a nice Tele. I paid on average over 600 for the jd telecasters. The strats were under 300 but they have those stupid system 1 tremolos that suck.
crunchee Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Doesn't look bad, provided it's got a solid ash body. The bridge saddles look a little bit suspect IMHO, remind me of ones you'd find on a cheaper model Tele.

Oh, that's japan attempt to be innovators to a solution of a situation deemed to them as probmatic
Bobby Marshall Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Forgot to mentioned I replaced my saddles with the Joe Barden saddles, you may need a new base plate too. This is a must mod to me .
