TheDan Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 I'm sure this was a topic here before. Anybody know where I can find one for a set-neck Chap? I thought it doesn't matter that there's no logo on the headstock, turns out I was wrong Thanks, Dan

cmatthes Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 That will also look better/more accurate than any waterslide decal, since Hamer never used waterslides. The vinyl will look more like the correct dry transfer logos, so that could be a great call.
zenmindbeginner Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Do dry transfer and stay away from waterslides... as cmatthes and I know (big scale modeling geeks when we were kids) from using both, that the dry transfer will give you the cleanest and sharpest looking logo.Waterslides are a joke, stay away from them... we had to use them on the sides of curved tank turrets and airplane fuselages, but they tear and swim all over the place making a mess.
cmatthes Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 What Geoff said, plus, the whites are never truly 100% opaque, and look funny.
TheDan Posted May 30, 2012 Author Posted May 30, 2012 Thanks for the great advice but you're getting me in trouble now I was gonna use a waterslide because I never clear coated a headstock decal before. Guess I'll have to learn it.
