hamerhead Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Say a person wanted to replace a standard stop tailpiece with a trapeze-type. What would be good or bad about it?
crunchee Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 You'd almost have to ask someone who's converted a trapeze tailpiece to a stoptail, as I'd think the results would be the same, but just in reverse order. If they gained bass and sustain WITH a stoptail conversion from a trapeze tailpiece, you'd probably lose that without it. I've never heard of anybody doing a stoptail to a trapeze tailpiece conversion...but stoptail to Bigsby, yes, but I think that's a whole different animal.
murkat Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 need to know the type, construction of said guitar to somewhat get an idea of said curious impemtation of said device
