I'm looking to buy one with a snake skin graphic. The asking price is $1500.00. It's mint. What do you think?

He's the only guy who did the originally-applied Hamer snakeskin graphics.

That price is fine if it's a set neck with boomerang inlays...if it's a bolt on with dots, it's way high.

This link carfish already shared with you in a different thread is proof enough that it could sell at $1500 eventually. Sometimes you have to pay a bit of a premium for things you "have" to have. If you can afford it and have to have it, screw our opinions and buy the thing.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the O'Connor finishes so my offer would be in the $600 range. At that price my offer would be turned down and it would eventually sell for $1500, but I didn't have to have it so it's all good.

Cynic has the essence of pricing for something like this nailed. It is up to you to decide if it is "worth it" or not. So few of these change hands that there is really no "benchmark" price to reference. It is worth what the market will bear, or whatever any individual is willing to pay. I bought mine recently (NOT a custom graphic) for a silly price, and I also consider the bolt-on that sold for $1.895 silly, but it just shows that someone REALLY dug that particular version. In the end it matters not what we think - what do YOU think?

Here is one that was offered here a while back - maybe still available? Maybe a more realistic price? Not an O'Connor, but cool.

Heed the word of the Cynic............
