Blitz wiring schematic

I did a search for the schematic for the Blitz and found one for the Sunburst which looks identical: 2 Vol. pots, 1 Tone, toggle, etc. Safe to go off that one when attempting to rewire my Blitz?

I can take a pic of mine if you want. Mine came originally with the PUPs out of phase in the middle position. I had it all apart for about 10 years but put it back together as I remembered it. So not sure if it's factory exact.

Sure, why not! Thanks, Thorn.

My control cavity is a mess and you wouldn't be able to see what you need. So I downloaded a simple diagram from SD and made points to note where you make changes.

First note that the Red and White wires are soldered together. This is for SD pickups. Other manufactures may use different colors. If you aren't going to coil tap then this is what makes it a humbucker. Unsolder and reverse point A and point B. If you have a bare wire then you should use a sleeve or tape to keep it from grounding out. This reverses the phase in the first pickup to the second. Leave the second as is. It only affects the tone when the switch in in the middle position. Note the point C is also reversed in the Blitz. Not sure why and I think it's a .01 uf cap. Maybe someone else can chime in. Note the 3 way switch; in the diagram this is a Les Paul style switch. My Blitz has an L shaped switch. The ground pole is not on the reverse like in the diagram. It is where I put the lovely pink dot above the three other poles. Note that the center two poles are soldered together. It is just above that.

Edited: I just remembered I put in a Super Distortion (Dimarzio?) in the bridge. It combines the black and red wire. So if you are using Dimarzio this may be what you need.

When I put this guitar back together and gave it to my son I was amazed at the tonal variances you can get just from a small adjustment in one or both volume knobs when they are wired this way. It can go from really really RAWK to quacky clean instantly.

Many thanks, Thorn! I'll give it a shot.

I remembered changing out the switch. Your's may not have the ground pole if it's original.
