No one tried those little amps during the last years ? I guess this is not so much in the direction of Hamer guitars (a bit more Rock) but some Newport / Artist players may have had the chance to test them ?

Thanks a lot for your help and sorry for the spelling in the initial message. ... I guess this was late at night

There are some jazzers on this forum and several have jazz-appropriate single driver combo amps as well, but maybe not a Jazzkat. I'm not sure if I'd heard of it before your post. My amp in this size/price category is a Top Hat Club Deluxe. Beautiful, warm jazz tone but unlike the Jazzkats, it's all tube driving a 25w Greenback, and not made to work with keys and bass.

What JB said...

You can get a lot of pretty helpful thoughts and experiences over on the Jazz guitar forum: http://www.jazzguitar.be/forum/

They are pretty down to earth guys and for the most part helpful.

My (uninformed) impression is that amps like the Jazzkat are single-focused on their application. I don't think of them as versatile tools. If you are looking for the particular tone they offer, I'm sure they are great. Many prominent jazzers are using them.

In the great old days of jazz, people used warm nice tube amps, so I figure i can too. It's probably for the best that i don't fall into the pure jazz gear hole - those dudes spend real money.

In short (ha), I don't know what I'm talking about and have no experience with the amp you are asking about.
