doody Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 Need to put a couple dunlop staplocks on my new Les Paul. Can't believe they put regular stap buttons on a 2k guitar. Just need the buttons that screw into the guitar. Failing that, whats a cheap source for these that doesn't make you buy the stap part too? Oh and they need to be crome.

Imiss85 Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 Be careful on that. I did the same thing a few months back with my brand new and first ever LP. The Screws seemed to tighten up nicely, but didn't go in far enough. snap! Luckily I caught the thing. Also , make sure the cups are pointing striaght up. With a LP, the weight makes a difference if they aren't perfectly straight. I've heard a lot of guys like the cheapo plastic things that you use with the regular strap buttons. I'd try that route if I had to do it all over again.
Jimbilly Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 Just as a general info reminder: the Peavey packed straplocks are Dunlops in every way, but cheaper and more available than the Dunlops in Dunlop packages.
