Monaco III Pickups?

I think I'm at least the third owner of my Monaco III. For some reason I though the middle pickup came RWRP on these guitars. Mine is not RWRP in the middle and yesterday I pulled the pickups when I changed strings, just to see what's in there. The neck and middle are Seymour Duncan SP 90-2N and the bridge is Seymour Duncan SP 90-3B. Is this the standard pickup configuration on a Monaco III? I see SD makes a 90-1 that's vintage voiced for the neck. I'll probably try that one eventually. FYI I tried going to the Hamer web site to look up the specs and the Hamer web site it down.

Vintage voiced would probably suit the guitar better in the neck (IMO). I do have a set of Duncan Antiquity P90s in an Epiphone archtop and they are quite nice.

A lot of folks, including me, think an upgrade to Lollars (all around) is a very good improvement. A little search here should give you some other ideas and input.

The originals aren't bad - especially when turn down the volume on the guitar a bit.

Yes, I'm running my volume about 75% and it sounds nice. I really like the neck and middle pickups at this setting.

For now I'm keeping the pickups. The first think I'm going to change out is the bridge piece. I'm thinking something like a Compton Bridge. A couple years ago I bought a used Strat and it came with Lollar Black Face Pickups. I did not care for them. I put them on eBay for $150 or $170 BIN and they sold instantly. I should have went to the Lollar site and priced them before I sold them. They are around $300 new.
