edgar_allan_poe Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Hi guys…I have an interesting guitar up for trade. This is a pre-1990 Anderson Strat with a strathead headstock. Here is the skinny on the guitar… Mahogany body with a highly flamed maple cap. The color is kind of a burnt orange...very cool. The pics are actually a very good representation of the color. The neck is an insane birdseye/flame figuring with an amber tint. The neck is one piece, there is no seperate fretboard. It has Schaller locking tuners and Dunlop straplocks, and a vintage trem. The hardware is all gold. Pickups are Lace Sensors, obviously not original but they sound really good. I am not a fan of the Anderson pickups. Condition is very solid for a 15 year+ old guitar it has a couple of very minor dents on the front, but nothing that can be seen unless you are close up and looking on an angle. They are right behind the bridge and about 1mm in diameter and 3mm long. I simply cannot get them to photograph, they are too small. The back has a small chip by the trem cavity..what looks like missing finish on the trem cavity in the pic of the back is actually just glare. The chip is about half the size of my pinky fingernail. Frets are jumbos and are in excellent+ shape. I was told by Tom Anderson that none of his necks with a strathead have the Anderson logo. This guitar is a pre-production Anderson so there is no serial number. I am looking to trade for the following… 1. 12 String acoustic 2. Good mics 3. Multi-effects units for recording. 4. Mic Preamps 5. Recording compressors I am open to other trades, but the above is what I am really looking for. [email protected]
edgar_allan_poe Posted November 28, 2005 Author Posted November 28, 2005 No doubt...killer in every way, but I have been bitten by the recording bug.
mattb Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 I hear ya man. I have dropped 4 large in the past 3 months on recording gear. I need to move some stuff.
guitarzandstuff Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Hows the neck? Smallish / Chunky?Does it have a case?
edgar_allan_poe Posted November 28, 2005 Author Posted November 28, 2005 Sorry...it does have a case. The neck feels very similar to a modern Hamer neck. Not huge..but not small by any means. Fairly beefy and feels great.
black magic Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 I`ll give ya $3 Fitty for it. Seriously, that is a nice Anderson and the strathead is a real plus for sure. Jack.
edgar_allan_poe Posted November 28, 2005 Author Posted November 28, 2005 Hey Jack...give me a call tomorrow night. I haven't heard from you in ages...
guitarzandstuff Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 Hows about some Studio Projects mics....A C3 and I believe the Stereo version of the C3... don't remember the model but more expensive than the C3... both mint in HS cases?

edgar_allan_poe Posted December 3, 2005 Author Posted December 3, 2005 I am getting lots of questions about the neck. The neck is 1 11/16th at the nut and has some beef to it. It is not a typical thin neck you find on most strats. I don't have callipers to measure the neck, but it feels very similar to my black Baker and that specs out as .830/980
cmatthes Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 Gee Poe, if I didn't already have THIS: Seriously, Poe wouldn't own it if it wasn't a smokin' killer git-tar. That is a given.
