- full-body mahogany w/set-in mahogany neck, painted in violet/purpleburst

- original 'dirty fingers' pickups

- factory kahler-wanker bar, which is dialed-in quite well and only in '85

- ebony board placed on a 'hockey' stick neck (featured on the '85-'87 models).

Lightweight, but huge and heavy tones! I use this for either metal/rock and/or blues--no jazz or fancy-pants tones.

Additionally, there is this super rare (it's all original!!) and in player's condition--tobaccoburst gibson "V"

- mahogany body

- bound curly maple top with nice flames

- ebony fingerboard with pearl dot inlays

- tone-o-matic bridge/stop tailpiece

- les paul styled knobs and various aforementioned appointments.

Essentially, it's a les paul mates with a flying V. Whereas, the purpleburst is an explorer mating with a flying V. you get the picture.
