That one has been around for a while now. Changed the Grovers for non fitting Schaller M6 tuners

Sorry for the dumb question: about the tuners is the damage already done or is it possible to put back the Grovers and say that it is all original again?

The set screws are in different positions on the Schallers, and so those screw holes will probably still be visible after you swap the tuners back...

You can see the holes left behind from the Grovers in this pic:

I got it, thanks !!

So, not a functional issue but it makes that guitar less valuable...

@Max,

I have the same issue on my Darkburst Special (still for sale, by tha way... :-)), and it is indeed just a cosmetical thing. Even if stand as a complete ignorant now, I for my part can't tell the difference between Schallers and Grobers, beside the historical correctness. Which IS cool, btw.

@HamerDave, this is roundabout 1844$... Conversion rate is getting better (from your point of view, for us in Europe it will be a deal breaker sooner or later, but thats ok, we had our share during the last couple of years...)

Indeed, I don't think there's such a big difference. But 1. I hate extra holes because somebody changed the tuners without any need whatsoever and 2. bulls eye Grovers are just plain sexy ... :P

Cheers, Todde
