Value of a 1983 MIJ BC Rich NJ Bich?

Wondering if any BC Rich fans might know the value of a 1983 MIJ Bich NJ series? A friend has one that he wants to trade in on something new.

Other than some dings on the bottom points, it is in excellent original condition. Serial number begins 'R83xxxx'

Any info appreciated, thanks!

Cool, thanks. I've been googling, and the history of BC Rich is convoluted! Not a lot of detailed info, I can't even find out what wood(s) the NJ series were made of.

This is actually a nice little rock guitar - if it was a Mockingbird I'd buy it myself! But I never cared for the Bich shape.

Oh man, that's a nice one. Is it a bolt on? If so, you're MAYBE looking at $300 or so. Neck-thru, about $400 or so. (yes, you'll see many examples going for hundreds of dollars more, but they NEVER sell and the sellers are simply delusional). They're awesome guitars, but just don't carry much value these days. I have an NJ Mock that I need to fix up. I was an original owner of one back in 83, too, but stupidly traded it in for an amp.

Anyway, let us know if you snag it. The pups SUCK, if they're stock, so I strongly suggest swapping them out.

I'm pretty sure that's a bolt on. I'd say $225 - $325 value. I really like the non bolt on NJ stuff without all the stupid switches....

Thanks guys, yes it is a bolt-on. I'm not interested in it as I really dislike the Bich shape. Mockingbird or Eagle and I'd consider it.

I will probably end up selling it for my friend. BTW would those price estimates include the original hardshell case?

Regards,

Jim

From what I remember, the cases are pretty nice. That may add another $75 or so.
