I once had a MIJ Squier Venus XII, it also wasn't much longer than a Strat, but it WAS wider, and the wider body wouldn't fit in a Strat/Tele case. I wound up using a used RI Jazzmaster case that it fit in rather well. As far as gigbags go, it just depends on the maker and model! Either that, or start looking at bass gigbags.Edited to cross out a word for clarity's sake.
