Scooter Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 1988 Californian with gold hardware. I think this color is called "Ice Pearl", but I'm not sure. It's a white basecoat with gold metalflake in the clearcoat. The finish is yellowed nicely. Gold hardware. No breaks or repairs. Lots of honest player's wear, but nothing drastic. Several chips and dings. The finish on the back of the neck is kinda worn through from playing - NOT from sandpaper . No checking, no cracks in the neck pocket. No clue if the pickups are original. The wiring is kinda weird - 1 master/neck volume, 1 bridge volume, 3-way switch, phase toggle. The Schaller Floyd is also different - it doesn't require the balls to be cut off the strings. I think it might be like the the Floyd Rose II trem. The case is beat to hell, but the latches and the hinges all work. It plays great and sounds amazing. No BS. I want to get $600 shipped for it. I'll take PayPal if you cover the fees. email me direct: -Don skuder@execpc.com
Scooter Posted December 29, 2005 Author Posted December 29, 2005 Can anyone confirm if this color is really called Ice Pearl?
edgar_allan_poe Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 That looks and sounds like Iced Pearl to me and that is one bad assed guitar. Good luck with the sale.
black magic Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Yep, Ice Pearl, I had a Chap in that color before. Jack.
Scooter Posted December 29, 2005 Author Posted December 29, 2005 Thanks Poe, Jack. I wasn't sure about the color. I assumed Ice Pearl was a pearl color and not just a metalflake, but what do I know - lol!!This Cali is a great player, but I need more PA gear and something's gotta go. Same old story, right? I guess I'll throw it on eBay.
