set of new uninstalled Wolfetone Marshallheads with stock polished nickel covers. I believe they are black

double coils inside. 9.02K neck, 9.22k bridge. I ended up not trying them but the soundclips I've heard seem

very cool.

$195 firm pp delivered in US

Grover 502C locking tuners, bolt style, taken from a recent mint les paul standard, held tuning great

but I just prefer kluson style... SOLD, thanks!

What timing ... I had a client drop off what he believed was a malfunctioning bridge position Marshallhead a few days ago and he asked me to check it out for him. It metered just fine even banging it around a little, so I put it in my '76 LP Standard to double-check via a real-time test drive. Not only have I determined the malfunction was in my client's ability to solder LOL, I have also deduced this pickup sounds ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. I'd call it a slightly more aggressive classic PAF sound, but don't misconstrue the aggressive description with "hot" - it's a 9K pickup after all. Nice balance between all the strings in gain, clean and in-between situations, and the volume knob has more feel - "4" acts like "4", "8" like "8," dimed is dimed, you get the idea.

The pickup sounds so good I'm strongly considering a Marshallhead conversion on the guitar even though the old stock PAFs are just fine on their own. I'd buy this post's pair if I didn't have another big gear purchase pending right now from a fellow HFCer. These pickups are that good. In the meantime, I'm going to see if my client and I can work a deal so I can keep that pickup in my guitar. I don't want to remove it.
