Looking for a 12 String Hamer

I love the flamed maple tops. Do the short scaled ones differ in any ways from the long scale basses? I like the body shape of these short scale basses the most of all of them.

I wouldn't take a Musicvox if you PAID me to take it.  They are truly horrible.  Quite possibly the only brand as shitty as Heritage out there!

The Dean Rhapsody basses, if you can get the ones from maybe 10-12 years ago, are decent.

The Hamer Import 12vers aren't bad, especially if you can score a Korean version.

Well the first thing is you have the funds set aside so your ahead of the game. Now just patience and persistence scouring the web and you know there are plenty of enablers here so just keep your nose to the grindstone and it will happen. Just don't settle for second or worse best, wait for the Hamer. Unless like Chris said look for a Korean import to hold you over. When I was searching for a Korina Jr. I had to settle for an import which is awesome by the way and timing for me was the key since I didn't have funds set aside but persistence was a major factor in procuring the USA Hamer Korina Junior. It will be worth the wait and you may have a great import as a backup. Hang in there don't settle. When you find one, act fast so it doesn't disappear. Food Luck!

I was trying to be polite about the Univoxs...or os the plural Univi? hahaha.

Most of the B12S basses seem to have been solid colors. Flame tops with boomers are VERY rare. I've only ever seen two others with boomers....a pink and a black. Plus, this red one is solid flame, not a veneer. All those things were upcharges when built.

The short-scalnes differ from the long scale ones in that.....they are long scale with longer strings 😀😀😀  But like all short-scale basses, the strings/playability is a hair looser. They do play really nice. But if you play long-scales, just be patient...one will pop up eventually

If a short-scale one pops up at a Guitar Center, you could order it and try it out for a couple days and always just return it at a local Guitar Center. They are real good about returns and give full refunds.
