Bluesking Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 This is from the original run of the Superdrives - handwired and PTP. I purchased this amp from the original owner recently mostly because I'm a long time Budda devotee. I don't gig any longer, so really this amp is excess to my needs. No issues and this thing will scream - however, unlike the many Twinmasters I've owned, the MV is GREAT on this amp. The serial is #0182. The only non-original item is the combo cab - it's period correct for a 2001 Budda, but not original to this specific amp. The first Superdrives had wheels on one side and a handle on the other to facilitate easier load in/out. The original owner replaced the cab because he didn't like the wheels. You'd never know this amp has been out of the bedroom - it's clean and easily a 9.0 out of 10 cosmetically. It features the original Budda Phat 12 speakers that sound perfect for this amp. Also has the manual and SWAG from Jeff Bober at Budda. Also has the original footswitch, but the stickers have fallen off. This is in 100% original condition and has the sound that have made the Superdrives legendary. Specs: 30 watts. 12AX7 high-grade preamp tubes. Hand-wired power amp. Class AB. Rhythm and Hi Gain channels. Treble, mid and bass controls. Pull "Modern" Mid function. Pull "Brite" on Rhythm volume. Drive control Effects loop. Slave out. Footswitch. 4 x EL84 1 x 5u4 rectifier Custom-wound transformer with 4/8/16 ohm switch Rhythm and Drive Level controls 3 band EQ Pull knob for brite Effects Loop Slave output with level control in parallel with power section Point to Point hand wired 3 x 12 AX7 Preamp Tubes Price is a very reasonable $975 + actual CONUS shipping. I prefer a USPS Money Order or personal check if we've had successful deals in the past. Paypal is cool if we split the fees. You can't touch a PTP amp of this quality anywhere near this price and it's in great condition to boot. No trades at this time.
Citrus Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 Does it have much clean headroom?? had the !8 Superdrive, and there wasnt much - might have kept it if it did
Bluesking Posted June 19, 2016 Author Posted June 19, 2016 Yes, much more clean headroom than the Superdrive 18.
dgstandard Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I'm interested but timing not right...GLWS. If you have it later in the fall, send me a PM.
HoboMan Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 You might have the wrong specs listed. As far as I know the Series I didn't have the "Pull Mid" knob and I don't see yours labeled as having it. Just wanted to make sure you have it advertised correctly.

HoboMan is indeed correct - post has been edited. It has two pull knobs - the first on the MV knob and allows you to change channels without the footswitch. The second in on the "Rhythm Volume" and is a pull for "brite". Thanks for the assist!
HoboMan Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I'll also ad that these amps are some of my favorites. I currently have three amps, an SD30 and two SD18s. Buddas are all I've been gigging for the last several years. When I first plugged into my SD30 I heard the tone that had been in my head for most of my life. If I didn't have three already I'd be buying this one.
Bluesking Posted June 30, 2016 Author Posted June 30, 2016 Still here. Also listed over at TGP, where a large amount of tire kicking has been going on.
