Guitar Hangers? tips

Never used em,  but got permission to install a couple in the living room.  

what type?  is there a brand that's relatively easy to find and is reliable?    

and how do they connect? do you have to find a stud or can you use some

kind of toggle bolt anchoring?     

 

here's the area,  gf wanted to close up the wall to the left of the fireplace,  but

I had other plans.   My initial request to put my marshall bass stack there has

been declined...  lol
