I liked the design, very easy to install,   I only used it in light doses but

it worked pretty well.   I think maybe it works best with slightly beefier

but I didn't want to tweak the nut slots so I never tried it with bigger strings...

you know that movie Conspiracy Theory where Mel Gibson feels compelled to purchase “The Catcher in the Rye” whenever a copy crosses his path? That's how I feel when I see a Gold top.

Got the Goldtop from Dave today. Totally surprised. Really nice guitar. The rolled fingerboard really makes it feel great. I bought a '16 Standard last year and it just felt cold and stiff. This feels worn-in and comfy.

Now... what to do! Hmmm. I was actually thinking about sending it to RS Guitarworks to be Relic'd. Oooooooooh yeah.

Cool glad it arrived safely ernie.   Am a sucker for nicely done relic jobs.     That might look cool.

Pretty sweet.  Was that process a respray or do they age. The existing finish?

they refinish LPs with a nitro blend of their own that reacts better to the aging process than the plastic-like finish Gibson puts on their guitars (post 2005)
