mathman Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 Any experiences here with CD Baby or any other online distribution for CD release? I don't expect to sell many but just want a cheap way to get the music out there. More of an "I did it" Any reviews or ideas?
Uncle Thor's Hamer Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 I've purchase quite a few physical CDs from CDBaby and always been happy as a customer. One of my favorite regional bands uses them as their online distributor. Dunno if that helps at all.
mathman Posted January 8, 2018 Author Posted January 8, 2018 Thanks, I know of a few others but they are much more successful than I expect to be. Still, good info.
Jack C Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 I had a good experience with CD Baby. Don't have anything to compare it to, but they did a good job with my disc. They also put it on iTunes, Amazon, YouTube and other places, which is pretty cool.
mathman Posted January 8, 2018 Author Posted January 8, 2018 Thanks, CD baby seems to be the best option.
Teh Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 Another CD Baby user. Didn't opt for physical CDs. Instead, went with Digital distribution only and picked up download cards for physical sales. Album is on all major download sites (iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, CD Baby site) and 27 different streaming sites. Also use Jango Radio for internet radio. Much less expensive than CDs and plenty of global coverage.
