HSB0531 Posted January 28, 2021 Posted January 28, 2021 I think I saw it years ago in a Hamer catalog someone posted online.
cmatthes Posted January 28, 2021 Posted January 28, 2021 Are you thinking about the Velocity Bass? Hamer never made an import version of the Impact...definitely not in the shape of the USA Impacts. I have the version with 2 Jazz Bass pickups - they made the original Paduak versions in several versions: Single MM Style pickup, 2 JB pickups in 4 String and a Fretless version. They came out with a 5 string version and then a Basswood version that came in a few trans colors.

I found a 2008 price list where the import Impact is offered with a list price of $379.50. Hamer 2008 price list.pdf

If I recall correctly, they were vaguely based on a hybrid between a P-bass, and maybe a EBMM shape.

The Impact bass in it looks like an EBMM StingRay knock off. I'm assuming this id a new Hamer catalog and the original Impact looked nothing like this?
cmatthes Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 That’s a later (early/mid-2000s) Slammer Bass, not really a Hamer.
