Cleaning up this Diablo 2 I just landed and the coil tap switch is a bugger. Was working great with a positive "click", then the nut that holds the pot in place loosened. I gently tightened the nut, adjusted the knob, and now it's on a hair trigger. It pops back to the split coil position if you breathe on it.. Even with the knob off, the switch is popping into the open position now. Grrrrr. I tried adjusting a few times to see if there is a sweet spot, but no dice. I'm thinking I need a new coil tap pot? It just pops back out now instantly.
If its not a bad switch and I'm just terminally stupid, what am I doing wrong in my adjustment? If I need a new pot/ coil tap what is recommended?
I find it easier ajusting two four barrel carburetors on my chevelle then adjusting this effing switch. Lol
