For Sale Ron Kirn Barnbuster

Ron Kirn Barnbuster built from an old building from the 1850’s.  Body is from a single piece of loblolly pine and has some great grain. Looks like body has a little filler in it which isn’t surprising given the age of the wood.  I’m the second owner but reached out to Ron on the details.  He did not have it in his notes if he made the neck himself or was a USAG custom neck.

pickips are vintage spec hand wound by Ron.   Bridge and tuners a classic tele style high quality parts.  Has the 4 way switch that really adds a nice option.

finish on the body is a vintage satin nitro.  Ron talks a lot about how he is one of the few people who finish his guitars with the old vs new modern formula.

I have to say this is the best playing guitar I own.  Ron certainly has some magic when he makes these.

Neck contour is a big vintage tele profile.  Honestly this is the only reason I’m considering selling,  I just don’t love this counour.

for HFC members $1,150 plus estimated $100 shipping.  Includes the original soft/hard gator type case

Nice!  Also nice to know what kind of pine it's made from, as most makers/manufacturers don't tell you that.  According to the Wood Database, Loblolly Pine is a little harder than Alder, and about as hard as Korina/Limba, as far as grading on the Janka scale goes.  It's considered a 'hard pine':  :)

Good luck with the sale! Kirn barnbusters really are special guitars. I wish I was more of a Tele player so I could justify getting one.
