miragejake Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 I figure I should put this out there for sale or trade. I'm just not playing anything other than my Danocaster enough these days...this guitar is a freakin rock n' roll machine and somebody needs to be playing it! Absolutely killer guitar from one of the best builders in the world. Whitfill doesn't make too many of these, and they're more pricey than his typical strat and tele builds. This is the perfect marriage between a Tele and Les Paul. T-style mahogany body, that's weight relieved, with a mahogany set neck, rosewood fingerboard, and two incredible sounding Onamac Windery 58 PAF style humbuckers. The guitar plays outstanding! Fast playing low action, from top to bottom....was recently setup by my awesome tech w/ D'adarrio 9.5's. Super resonant as well, with a ton of sustain. Craftsmanship & guitar building at the highest level. OHSC included - the case is mint and is an awesome heavy duty case. I'm not sure of the brand, but it's a case that would run a few hundred bucks by itself. From what I've heard Billy Gibbons commissioned Whitfill to work up a super light Les Paul / Tele type and that's where the Cousin Paul came from...Joe Walsh plays one as well. Joe and Billy are cool enough for me Price is $2900 shipped. Trade Value about the same. TRADES I'M INTERESTED IN: I guess I'm open to pretty much any type of electric guitar...though I'm leaning towards something w/ P90's...I like both Gibson and Fender types. I like boutique stuff typically more than the typical name brands but I'm open there as well...I like guitars w/ a trem, but open to stop tails as well. I don't like excessively heavy guitars. Plus / Minus cash deals either way are doable. Here's some pics: https://imgur.com/a/fOh2EPq#XVwtg7Q Here's Lance Keltner playing one: SPECS: - Construction: set neck - Body: mahogany with Whitfill tone enhancement chambering - Binding: top - Neck: 1 piece mahogany - Fingerboard: rosewood - Nut width: 1.650" - Neck dimensions: .840" 1st fret, .940" 12th fret - Radius: 10" - Pickups: Whitfill proprietary humbuckers by Onamac Windery - Electronics: CTS pots, CRL switch, oil and paper capacitors, cloth wire - Tuners: Gotoh vintage style nickel - Bridge: Tone Pros Tunematic bridge and stop tailpiece - Hardware: SS screws, nickel plates Weight- 6lbs 9oz
coffeeroastee Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 Any interest in my Newport pro with antiquities and doughy?
GuitarGuy65 Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 Those Onamac pickups are simply amazing. I put a set in my '59 RI Lester and they gave it a new life, 100x better than the Burstbuckers that were in it... GLWTS!
