Hamer Basses with double truss rod adjustment directions

Hello:

I recently acquired a couple Hamer Basses with double truss rods.

Does anyone have any directions or information on adjusting the neck with them.

I will be taking it to a luthier and even though he is awesome he doesn't have much experience with Hamer Basses with double truss rods and I'd prefer not to have an accident.

As far as I know it's only the 8 and 12 string basses that had the dual truss rods.

The 5 string necks starting in the very late 80s/early 90s also had dual rods.

5 string Cruise Bass were the exception.  They  did not have dual rods…..they had the “airfoil” asymmetrical carve which would have exposed one of them.

We adjusted them in the shop bass side first.    Think of the bass side strings as it’s own neck and adjust that truss rod accordingly.  Think of treble side strings as their own neck and do the same.  May need an extra tweak or two but they really worked well!

I should have specified the SET NECK 5 string basses!
