Wanted - 5a maple body billet for project

I am a Hamer freak, but for a long time I have wanted to complete a non-Hamer project which requires a 5a figured solid maple billet to make a body (or 2).  I have been sourcing all of the other parts for some time, but have had no luck sourcing the wood for the body(ies).  Have reached out to various people through Google, eBay, OEM builders, etc.  Some reply, some don’t.  But so far - no shirt, no shoes, no dice.

another option is laroseguitars on Instagram. He has some killer wood but it only shows up every once in a while.

Big enough for a strat type body which I have read is somewhere around 20-1/2" x 13-3/4" x 1-3/4" (Stew Mac)  but have also read 20x15x2 so the Stew Mac is probably the minimum.

I know your pain.  I’ve been searching for some tight tiger striped flame maple to make a 2 piece Cali body.  Hard  to find the real good pieces. And be prepared to pay dearly.
