Hamer95USA Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Hey kurtsstuff, I hate to know that I want this amp even if it has the 5881 power tubes in it. Damn you!!! I just sunk some money into a used Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and sent off the amp chassis to Omega Amps for modification in North Carolina. Oh, well. Someone here will buy this before I will. I've been wanting one of these for my collection since I already have the '92 blue 6101 30th Anniversary Marshall combo amp. Thanks for the offer on the discount. Guitar George
kurtsstuff Posted April 5, 2006 Author Posted April 5, 2006 You can run EL34's in it with a simple bias adjustment
black magic Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 These amps are cool Marshalls and yes, many change the tubes out for EL34`s for that signiture Marshall sound, but I believe Marshall used 5881`s in the beginning, thus this model having them in it. Jack.

I went with 6L6's but to whomever would like to purchase this amp...you will have your choice...I can either leave it as is or..I will install and bias up a set of JJ E34L's..brand new of course...your choice!!
