JGale Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 I read that to use 4-way switching on a Tele, one needs to provide a separate ground wire from the neck pickup cover. What happens if the tele neck pup is uncovered? How about the same question for two P90s?
Hbom Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 Check youtube for Callaham's vid on how to change the ground from the pickup cover to the pup. I think that's what you're after.

Pickups are wired to a five way rotary switch as singles each, in parallel, in series and in series reverse. Great sounds overall. The Phat Cats are working great with that. Soldering up the pickup covers and rewiring was an easy job. Now the pickups are having three wires instead of two. About two for the signal flow and an additional third for ground.
