crunchee Posted February 16, 2024 Posted February 16, 2024 No affiliation. I'd pick this up for myself, if I didn't have more than enough gear already. Used two channel, handwired, 1x12 combo, Made In Korea, runs on 2xEL84s, two 12AX7 preamp, one EF86 preamp, and a EZ81 rectifier. Switchable 5/15 watts output, seems reasonably priced at $495: Artisan 15 - 1x12" Combo, Recent – Dave's Guitar Shop (davesguitar.com) artisan-15-handbook.pdf (blackstaramps.com)

Winter Posted February 28, 2024 Posted February 28, 2024 I have an Artisan 15H and it's an INCREDIBLE amplifier and loud! Artisan series are all hand-wired, point-to-point using high quality components and excellent craftsmanship. A couple weeks ago, I took mine to my amp guy who discovered that the output tube bias set at the factory was set super-hot. I don't fancy replacing output tubes every other week so, with a resistor swap and correct biasing, the problem was fixed and now, this thing sounds better than ever. Really, it's amazing to me just how undervalued these Artisan's are by the wider public. Congrats to the buyer - they got a world class tube amp combo at an incredible price.
