harryjmic Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 I met MCChris this weekend at the Chicago ampfest and told him about my Hamer Monoco. He said I had to get a picture up for all the Hamer fans. Anyway here it is. It is a Spruce top Hamer Monoco with a custom ordered stop tail piece and the cherry red is slightly lighter then the standard Monocos. The Flynn Brothers in Evanston had 2 of these made this way. Originally I believe it had Custom Custom pu's but the Seth Lovers sound killer in this guitar. This guitar sounds like a little archtop when set with both pu's on and the tone control around 3 with the bridge pu around 3 and the neck around 8. I can't believe y friend sold me this thing, one of the best thin hollowbodies I've ever played.
MCChris Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 It was nice meeting you on Saturday, Harry. This guy can play the SHIT out of a Tele! Whoa!

Whoa!Maybe I should loan him mine then because everytime I play it there seems to be a lot of SHIT in there. You just got to pull the strings a bit, it's amazing at the shit that will start flying out of them. Serious quetion for camera guys, do I need a wide angle lense to get really good closeups of my guitar? I have a 5 mega pixal Canon but can't seem to get the cool pictures I see alot of the guys getting of their guitars, mine always seem to need to be at least 2 or 3 feet away otherwise I don't get all the guitar in the picture. And thanks to MCChris for letting me use his Tim pedal...I feel some gas pains right now. Chris is a cool guy and definitely can withstand the punishment of a Hiwatt at full throttle. I was off in the corner cowering for my life while Chris was wailing away.
