  1. Is that checkerboard at a Hard Rock? If it is, I worked on that. The Gonna Raise Hell Standard is next to my bench right now. Not very exciting now,is it? Lubritrak nuts suck. Bm
  2. I special ordered a 31 pack. It should be in in one year. Bm Where is BP?
  3. Did Bush win again at 'The Lady'? I'm checking now. I can't believe they took a race away from Darlington. They are interviewing some old bag. Who is that? Nascar sucks now. Bm Is that Vinnie? Bm
  4. Cool Feel. After the ones on the floor, I don't see 'You know who' excepting any new orders. Unless they are sneaked in the back door. In which case, one of us will hold the door open! Bm
  5. Newman60. Is that Nationwide related?
  6. 30 pack! I new it! You can't expect me to type on a keyboard to post what I'm thinking. Bm
  7. Oh my God! Why are you saying Dingus? Dave Brown and I have a running Dingus joke going. Dave is that you? Bm (If it is, then I'll have to get Elton John to come over and kick your ass!)
  8. It's weird. It's almost like I don't want to finish one so that there would always be one in the tank. Did you see the pictures of the newest arrival? The Firebird? I don't know what it will be like after the last one. I think other people will pick up the tradition. They might be already. Bm
  9. David B. I checked with Dave Brown and it is still with him. We are excited to get on it along with the other ones. Because of the overall low workforce doing Guild, there is 9 hours of Guild work to do in 8 hours, which on a daily basis means time has run out again. I personally don't understand why 2-3 years ago they didn't contact everybody and explain the deal. It really has been driving us nuts. The only thing I can say is, focus in on everyone recently who have been waiting for an eternity for theirs. All of a sudden, one day it shows up. After that, the wait doesn't seem so bad. I'm actually shocked that all of you didn't cancel your orders over the past couple of years. Uh, the ice cream man is outside. Be right back.................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... ........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... ................................................................................... Damn, no purple micro-dot again! Bm
  10. I've been looking for that Sharpie for the past year. Bm
  11. Hi Greg! Dave, at the moment no. I'll check with Mr. Dave Brown tomorrow. Does my font look weird? Bm
  12. There is a rumor going round that there will be a Facebook page in the future that will have plenty of photos of the early years of Hamer. People and behind the scenes photos of custom shop builds. Maybe you might see photos of your custom shop Hamer! Or maybe you might see a photo of your favorite Hamer personality with a chiapet hairstyle! Bm
  13. Yes Diablo that's what the sheet said. Glad you got the trem the way you like it. That's the biggest thing. Like power steering. David Barker, I'll check on that. As a side note, I'm usually on-line Thurs-Sat. Unless there is a sale on Bud.
  14. In my excitement to finally be able to post, I forgot to mention Mike Shishkov in my initial rant. Mike, who has been a Hamer Master Custom Order Builder expert for over 20 years, has had quite the ride the last five years. Five years ago when they announced that Guild was coming in, they pulled the Hamer guys in and dispersed us out. Because of Mike's talents as a builder and a leader, they designated him (Imprisoned him) as the boss of Guild's final assembly department all this time. A while back they let him out of his cage and for a brief time he helped Dave on some custom orders to help move them along. But then Cheap Trick's world was rocked! Disaster struck and some of Mr. Nielson's famous Hamer guitars were hurt. Ironically, none of his other brands were hurt that we know of. Four guitars came in that needed attention. By the way, the tension of spending rare labor time on a valued, long time, paying fan's custom order versus labor time spent on the one and only infamous Mr. Neilson's (who by the way I have never seen or heard from in the last ten years I have been working here even though we've worked on many special projects for him that have been thrown at us last minute that I'm sure hasn't forced him to use the dollar menu at McD's) works of art has been an awkward situation. Anyway's, his Monaco Superpro with the Beatles graphics came in. I replaced the harness because of moisture concern and it went right back out. His checkerboard Standard came in with a broken headstock which Mike did his magic on. They wanted two copies made, but we were only able to make one copy. Actually, it was a 70.45% copy. We couldn't reproduce the skull volume/tone knobs and all the Japanese jizz on the finish. The Uncle Dick double neck came in because they wanted a copy made, Mike took all the specs and we sent it back. He did all the wood work making a duplicate body and the two necks an it has just been sitting because of the the current situation (You know). The 'Gonna Raise Hell' Standard came in. Gary sprayed some clear over the headstock because it is flaking so bad. We made one copy. He wants the tremolo replaced on the original. The copy is at my station waiting for the rest of it's journey. The original is at my station waiting the rest of it's journey. Maybe we should call in Steve Perry to help. Mike is also doing invaluable work on the Guild Custom shop line at the same time as the Hamers and running the Guild final dept. How much can one guy take. The other day I said hi and he said %$##@#$%%%%$###$%%$##@#@#$%%%%$$#@#$%%%%! Bm
  15. David Barker sent a question about an order. Are you out there? Is you're order one of the Music Center's? There are still three Music Center orders in the early stages. Two Standards and a Virtuoso. Also, there is a 12-string blue burst bass waiting in my rack from another dealer. I know the Virtuoso and the black Korina light weight Standard. are waiting for special woods. Does yours have special wood? We're sorry for the wait. Also, labor time has been an issue. I have to go now, they have cameras in my apartment. Bm
  16. Diablo, I forgot to send a note along because I was rushed. You wanted two springs with a spongy feel and we only had 3,000 springs from Chicago to work with. Two springs and the claw jammed against the cavity couldn't bring down the tremolo flush when tuned to pitch. I put three on, and I sent an extra so you could find some heavier alternative. If I spent time outsourcing heavier springs, I would have been spotted. The pickups that I put in were on the custom order spec sheet, so I ordered those. I almost put EMG's in. But then again I would put EMG's in anything heavy. I even put EMG's in my ice cream at night. I can't believe how patient you guys are. After placing an order, the next day I'd be calling the rep. "Hey where the F**K is my axe!?" Bm
  17. Hey Cool Feel. Thank you so much for the custom order. Sorry it took so long. Every custom Hamer is like a child to us. Whenever they leave, we break a champagne bottle over them and wish them luck. Glad you are happy! Bm
  18. The reason they take so long is that Dave Brown, Gary Pirro and myself (Hamer crew for the past 4-5 years, Dave - block of wood into a masterpiece guitar in raw wood stage, Gary- all finishes, including insane graphics {me sanding in between coats}, me - sand guitar, buff guitar, assemble parts, wire, setup, jam!). Everyday the priority has been Guild production first, then Hamer if we have time. Of course, because of the small Guild workforce, everyday we are jammed with Guild work. Once every three weeks or so, we'll try and sneak 10 - 15 minutes or so on one until somebody says "Hey! What in the fuck do you think your doing! Put down that Hamer and step away from the bench slowly. If you don't do as we say, we'll have to call in backup. Before we get back to work on the Guilds we are instructed to shower first to get the Hamer skank off us so it doesn't get on the Guilds. You know, chocolate in my peanut butter thing. We still have 5-6 custom orders coming through. Look forward to working on them. I'm going to wear fake nose and glasses while wearing a trench coat with nothing on underneath while working on them. Maybe they won't see me. As a side note, I worked at Guild guitars in Westerly, RI from 1983-2002 when they moved and we had a lot of fun. So, that is why they take so long. I hope this helps.
  19. Caliber? Is that Ambrose's Duotone? Wiring that was quite the ride.
  20. Duncan 59 double black in the neck, Duncan custom double black in the bridge, Hamer mini black tuners, Schaller liscensed Floyd, strap locks, hard to get logo and a bitchin fretboard. When I was jamming on it, my eyes were going buggy! Thanks Greg for the help with the posting!
